Confidentiality

Confidentiality is total and uncompromising except in certain circumstances. If what a self-helper tells their counsellor indicates that they have clear intent to endanger themselves or anyone else or to commit a crime, then we are legally obliged to inform the appropriate authorities.

Whenever session details are discussed in counsellor/ therapists' supervision meetings, self-helpers' identities will not be disclosed, nor any details that might serve to identify them, however indirectly.
